For this project, the focus was on creating a book about the band Joy Division. The challenge involved designing material with at least 24 pages, including the cover, back cover and internal content, as well as exploring the textual hierarchy, images and illustrations. With freedom of theme and format, the project sought to balance creativity with feasibility, resulting in a visually cohesive work that conveys the essence of the band.
The aim of this project was to develop an editorial book about the band Joy Division, focusing on creating a cohesive and aesthetically appealing design. The proposal was to explore the band's visual identity, using an organized structure that combined textual hierarchy, images and illustrations, with the intention of creating an editorial piece that reflected both the musical style and the historical essence of the group.
The theme of this project was the creation of a tribute book to the band Joy Division, one of the pioneers of post-punk and gothic rock. I chose this iconic band because of their enormous influence on the history of music and the emotional depth present in their compositions. The book celebrates Joy Division's trajectory, exploring their cultural and artistic relevance.
The result of this project was the creation of an editorial book that was visually cohesive and aesthetically aligned with the essence of the band Joy Division. Through a careful combination of typography, textures and a color palette reminiscent of punk and gothic styles, the design reflected the group's historical and musical impact. The final material, consisting of at least 24 pages, explores an efficient textual hierarchy and uses images and illustrations to create an editorial piece that connects the reader to the band's unique atmosphere.
