This typographic redesign project aimed to create five posters that represented iconic films solely through typography. The proposal was to develop compositions that captured the essence of each film, highlighting the expressive power of the letters and their combinations, visually translating the style and mood of the films using only typographic elements.
The challenge of this project was to develop exclusively typographic posters that could capture the essence of movies. The proposal called for creativity in the use of typography to convey the atmosphere and feeling of each movie, using different lettering styles and visual compositions. The films selected were: Lolita (1997), Finding Nemo (2003), Flubber (1997), Beauty and the Beast (1991) and The Iron Giant (1999), mixing animation and live action. These posters were designed with their titles in their English versions.
The result of this project was a collection of typographic posters that manage to convey the essence of the chosen films in a unique and impactful way. Through a harmonious combination of digitally created and carefully selected typographies, each poster reflects the tone and visual identity of each film, showing that typography alone can be a powerful communication and design tool.
